Weapon, rare
Simple weapon, melee weapon
The wielder of this spear certainly has a reason to be “cocky”.
Description: A surprisingly lightweight +1 spear, it has a crossbar placed about a foot away from the tip which is broad enough to use as a foothold.
As an action while airborne above a creature, the wielder of the Bantam Spear can fall spear-first onto a target and make a melee weapon attack against the target. For every 5 feet the wielder falls onto the target, the spear does an additional 1d6 (5 feet), up to 6d6 (30 feet) damage. If the wielder falls from 30 or fewer feet onto a target this way, the wielder takes no fall damage. If the wielder falls greater than 30 feet onto a target this way, the wielder takes 1d6 damage per five feet fallen.

Lore: The Bantam Knight, the leader of the Motley Eyrie, was often mocked for his silly chicken hat and theme. This spear, however, helped him overcome this mockery, for with it he was a fearsome foe and those who saw him fight, be they friend or foe, greatly respected him.
