Questions, questions, always with the questions! You’re so annoying. Learn to think for yourself. Here, I’ll help - I’ll only tell you when you’re not asking the right question, and I’ll do so rarely. Maybe that’ll teach you some damn self reliance!
Description: Three white stones emanating a soft, white light are embedded in this smooth ash quarterstaff. The light pulses slowly and softly.
When attuned, this staff speaks to the wielder - it is inhabited by the soul of a curmudgeonly wizard. He is filled with advice and knowledge, much of it irrelevant or unwelcome. It has 22 Intelligence, 14 Wisdom, and 6 Charisma, and may only speak telepathically with the person the staff is attuned to.
The wielder may ask the wizard a question - whatever question is directly asked of the wizard, it uses a charge from the staff, turning one of the white stones black and stopping the glow from it. The only answer the wizard will provide is whether or not the question is a good one that is relevant to the situation, and any question the user asks the staff directly will be answered in this way. The staff regains one charge at midnight each night.

Lore: Once long ago, an elvish wizard was on the verge of dying before he could pass on all of his knowledge to his apprentice. He had his soul bound to this staff so he could bombard the poor soul endlessly with knowledge, whether or not it was useful. Unfortunately, not all of his mind made it over, and age has only made him more ornery.
